Austin police chief, Art Acevedo, is shooting down rumors that he may be leaving for a new job.
According to dna info dot com, Acevedo is one of ten people mentioned as possible replacements for New York City police commissioner, Ray Kelly.
Acevedo tells Fox 7 he is not leaving but he is honored to be mentioned in the same breath as commissioners Kelly and Bratton.
The chief went on to say, he is hooked on the ATX.
He is currently in Washington DC for the major city chiefs meeting.
