Man arrested for April 2012 murder

A man has been arrested and charged for the April murder of an Austin man.

Police say on April 8, 2012, 44-year-old Phillip Yates was found strangled to death in his home located in the 6400 block of Chimney Creek Circle.

Police say they found fingerprints and DNA evidence linking 46-year-old Earl Fansler to the murder.

Fansler has been charged with murder, a first degree felony. His bond has been set at $300,000.
