The Travis County Sheriff's Office has charged a man with murder after they say he shot and killed his wife's boyfriend.
On Monday, deputies were called to the scene of a shooting around 9 a.m. in the 1500 block of Howard Lane.
According to the arrest affidavit, 58-year-old Roy Rodgers Soliz confronted his wife and her boyfriend, 38-year-old Christopher Carson when she arrived at work. Soliz told his wife "I told you I was going to do this" and then shot Carson multiple times with a handgun.
Carson was transported by EMS to Round Rock Hospital where he later died.
Soliz fled the scene and is still at large. He is charged with murder, a first degree felony.
Soliz is considered armed and dangerous. However, investigators said that because he knew the victim and the shooting was not random there is no threat to the public.
If somebody should see Soliz, however, they are cautioned to not approach him and call 911.
