A car chase ended in a deadly crash in Bastrop Friday afternoon.
Authorities say a Travis County Constable was attempting to serve a felony warrant on an individual.
The suspect took off in a vehicle leading the Travis County Constable on a pursuit down Highway 95. Authorities say during the pursuit, the suspect took a right onto Big Sandy Road and hit a tree head-on.
The suspect was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Department of Public Safefty is investigating the crash.
