The roads in some areas could be icy for the Thursday morning commute as a winter storm makes its way through our area.
A Winter Storm Watch has been posted, with snow expected to fall Thursday in parts of South Jersey and Delaware.
The watch will be in effect from Thursday afternoon through late Thursday night, according to the National Weather Service.
FOX 29 Chief Meteorologist Scott Williams says the Thursday morning commute will be slick, with ice in some spots, around the Lehigh Valley and the Poconos.
The forecast calls for a potential accumulation of 2 to 6 inches of snow in southern and eastern New Jersey along with central and southern Delaware, according to the NWS.
Rain will mix with snow Thursday afternoon and evening before changing over to all snow Thursday night. Roads and walkways will become covered with snow, resulting in hazardous conditions.
Visibilities will be reduced to one-half mile or less at times.
