An Austin bar owner convicted of money laundering has now lost his permits for nine downtown bars.
The Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission canceled four of Mike Yassine's permits Tuesday. On Wednesday, Yassine lost the permits for his five other bars.
New owners are now clear to open businesses in those establishments.
In October, a jury found Yassine and his brother Hadi Yassine guilty of multiple money laundering charges.
Several of the brothers' downtown businesses were used to launder money believed to be from drug trafficking.
