The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo™ will begin and end on a country music note, but there will be sprinkles of rhythm and blues, pop-dance, and classic rock.

Among the notable acts making debuts as RodeoHouston entertainers include rapper Pitbull and pop singer Bruno Mars.

The rock group Styx returns to perform at Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo™ for the first time since 2002.

Julion Alvarez and norteño group Los Invasores de Nuevo Leon are scheduled to perform during Go Tejano Day, both debut acts for the RodeoHouston stage.

R&B singer Mary J. Blige will perform as part of Black Heritage Day. She also performed during the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo™ in 2002 and 2010.

Alan Jackson, a country music veteran, is scheduled to perform as part of Armed Forces Appreciation Day.

RodeoHouston announced in October 2012 that 'The X Factor' judge Demi Lovato would perform during one of the nights with teen singer Austin Mahone, in addition to country singers Toby Keith, Luke Bryan and Jason Aldean.

The rodeo begins at Reliant Park on Monday, Feb. 25 and ends Saturday, March 16. A special post-event concert will take place on Sunday, March 17 with the Randy Rogers Band, Martina McBride, and George Strait, who embarks on his final tour in 2013.
