New information tonight, about a Hays county assault investigation, following a police standoff yesterday afternoon.
19-year-old Caleb Crow is being held in the Hays county jail, charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and one count of theft of a firearm.
His bond is set at 250-thousand dollars.
Deputies say they were called yesterday morning about an assault, and learned Crow had hit his mother in the head with a dumbbell.
Then, around noon yesterday they were called to the 300 block of Rader Ranch road in Wimberley for a shooting.
Authorities say Crow shot a 44-year-old man and then barricaded himself in the nearby house he shared with his mother.
