Police were searching for drugs Thursday in Bertram, Texas.
Neighbors say they saw law enforcement launch tear gas canisters inside the house at 120 east Moeller Street. The windows were blown out and are boarded up.
This all happened two streets away from a church and school.
The Burnet County Sheriff's Office and several other law enforcement agencies carried out a search warrant for methamphetamines and stolen property, possibly weapons.
The man living at the house is currently on parole for drugs.
Three people were handcuffed, including one woman, but they say they were never booked into jail. They're back at the house, but say they can't stay inside because the tear gas still stings their eyes.
It's still an ongoing investigation, so law enforcement won't release any more information until Friday.
