Austin firefighters responded to a house fire in northwest Austin Thursday morning.
At around 6:23 a.m., firefighters arrived at the home at 100007 Mandeville Circle and saw flames and smoke coming from the garage area. The fire spread to the attic of the home before firefighters were able to extinguish the flames.
A neighbor told FOX 7 that a man, woman, and their two daughters were able to escape from the home unharmed, along with the family dog.
Authorities are conducting an investigation into what started the fire.
