Man killed in North Babylon fire

NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) -

 A Long Island man died in a New Year's Eve house fire.

 It happened just after 10 p.m. at 37 Peacock Lane in North Babylon.  Police and firefighters were alerted after a 911 call fro a neighbor.

The fire department extinguished the fire and discovered the body of the homeowner, Raymond Frank, 61, inside the house near the front door.

Suffolk County Police Homicide Squad and Arson Squad detectives are investigating.  The cause of the fire has yet to be determined.
