New Braunfels Police seek bank robber

Police are searching for a suspect that robbed a Wells Fargo bank in New Braunfels and is believed to be responsible for several other bank robberies in Texas.

New Braunfels Police say just before noon on Thursday, an armed suspect entered the bank located in the 800 block of  Loop 337 and demanded cash. The suspect fled the scene on foot.

Witnesses described the suspect as a possible black male dressed in women's clothing, wearing a wig and sunglasses. The suspect is about 25 to 35 years of age and approximately 5'3" to 5'7" in height.

Police say the suspect is believed to be responsible for bank robberies in Hillsboro, Denton and another one in New Braunfels that occurred at the Security Federal Credit Union in November.
