Austin Police have charged a woman after they say she threw a cup of hot water on a 3-year-old's face causing severe burns.
Police say 24-year-old Kelli Garza-Rodriguez became upset with one of the four children she was babysitting because he soiled himself after she told him to go use the restroom.
Garza-Rodriguez told police she became frustrated with the victim because he "knows better". She grabbed a large cup and filled it with hot water and then threw it on the victim's face.
The victim sustained possible second to third degree burns to his face.
Garza-Rodriguez has been charged with injury to a child, a third degree felony.
