San Marcos Police said David Whitlock, 19 was killed in a car crash on Christmas night just before 11:00 p.m.
Investigators say the accident took place in the 1800 block of Post Road. Whitlock was driving northbound when he hit a utility pole with his 2003 Chevy Cavalier. He was the only person in the car.
Whitlock was airlifted to UMC Brackenridge in Austin where he later died.
San Marcos Police are still investigating the wreck.
