The Georgetown Eagles saw their hopes of winning a state title dashed at the hands of a future Texas Longhorn.
Denton Guyer junior quarterback and UT commitment Jerrod Heard accounted for seven touchdowns in the Class 4A Division I state championship game at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington as Guyer knocked off the Eagles 48-37. It was Georgetown's only loss of the season.
