A.P.D. is looking for a man who robbed a bank in north Austin this morning.
Just before noon, a man walked into the Compass Bank in the 2,500 block of Parmer and handed the teller a note, demanding money.
After grabbing the cash, the suspect took off on foot.
Police say a get-away car may have been waiting for him.
A.P.D. Sergeant David Daniels says "It happens due to the holiday season, the stress, so robberies have a tendency to go up".
The suspect is described as a thin white or Hispanic man in his late 20s or early 30s.
He was last seen wearing a western shirt, dark jeans, a dark baseball cap and sunglasses.
