A 23-year-old man was killed in a house fire in Staten Island early Saturday morning.
Fire officials say the blaze started around 5:30 a.m. on 210 Osgood Avenue in the Clinton section. The upstairs bedroom was engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived.
Jameek Champagne was found dead by firefighters in the bedroom located on the third floor attic of the house.
Officials say the cause of the fire is still under investigation but believe Champagne may have been smoking in bed.
