Del. Teen Arrested For Bringing BB Gun To School

KENT COUNTY, Del. -

A Felton, Delaware 16-year-old was taken into custody Thursday morning after police say he brought a BB gun to school.

According to Delaware State Police, another student informed a teacher that the teen had told him about the gun and showed it to him while riding on the bus.

Once inside the school, a school resource officer approached the teen and took him to an unoccupied office.

Police say a search of the student's backpack revealed the gun and a clip loaded with BBs.

The student was issued a criminal summons and will have to appear in Kent County Family Court at a later date for arraignment.
