Members of Action United march through Center City Thursday night.
PHILADELPHIA -
A large group marched through Center City Thursday night to protest the School District of Philadelphia's restructuring plan that will impact 37 schools.
The march and candlelight vigil, organized by members of ACTION United, started at 4 p.m. in the courtyard of City Hall and made its way to school district headquarters.
The march took place shortly before the School Reform Commission was scheduled to meet.
Inside school district headquarters, a large group chanted "save our schools" as SRC members waited to start the meeting.,
Last week, Superintendent Dr. William Hite unveiled the details in district reorganization plan that would impact 37 schools.

Rain moved in Saturday afternoon and the chance for it will stick around through the seven day forecast.
It becomes very unsettled across our area with clounds and showers again Sunday. The best chance for rain is in the morning and afternoon thunderstorms are possible towards our south.
Sunday is cool but we do warm up well into the 80s by Tuesday. With the warm weather comes a better chance for thunderstorms.
