PHILADELPHIA -

Police are searching for the rooftop burglar who was caught on video dropping into a dollar store. He allegedly did so three times in less than a week.

The Giant Dollar Plus Store on the first block of East Chelten Avenue was hit on Dec. 7 at 12:55 a.m., Dec. 11 at 7 p.m. and then Saturday at 11:50 p.m., police said.

Surveillance video from inside the store shows the man gaining access through the roof and then taking various cartons and loose packs of cigarettes along with an undetermined amount of money.

The suspect was described as being a black male, between the ages of 20 and 30, about 5-feet-4 inches tall, with a stocky build and a medium complexion. He was wearing a dark knit hat, a red, hooded sweatshirt with black sleeves and "Nike" in black on the upper left chest, and black and white sneakers.

Police say he's "responsible for multiple burglaries." If you see him, do not approach him. Call 911 immediately. To submit a tip, call (215) 686-TIPS or text a tip to PPD TIP or 773847.
