An army veteran and single father of four got some much-needed help.
David Castillo and four other families were given fixed-up used cars on Wednesday.
It's part of a donation program from Child, Inc. and the cars are donated by several local businesses.
When Castillo returned home from the Middle East he lost his home, his wife and custody of his four children. He has now gotten back custody of his children and rents a house. But he had to walk to work before today.
He says he's still "awestruck" by the award.
"A sense of peace, you know and elation. It's still hard for me to believe actually. I have a sense of happiness, knowing now everything will be alright," Castillo said.
Castillo says he's grateful he now won't have to ask for help for things like going to the grocery store, doctor's appointments and taking his kids to get something to eat.
