Police are searching for a woman who is accused of attacking two elderly women in Manor.
Manor Police are advising residents to be watchful of suspicious people and to keep eye on your neighbors as well.
Saturday evening is when the first attack occurred and then the second one happened Tuesday morning. Both times, in what is called the Old Manor part of town.
In both cases, an elderly woman answers the door. The female attacker breaks in, steals items such as jewelry and then makes off with the stolen property back out the front door.
Police believe the suspect most likely lives in Manor and purposely targeting the elderly. Residents are fearful and hope that police will catch the suspect before she strikes again.
"I'm just scared. And my daughter and them is scared for me so they just come and check on me," Manor resident Nellie Sedwick said.
"We have a pretty good investigation going on. And we think that they knew elderly people were living there that they could over power them going into the home," Sgt. Ryan Phipps of the Manor Police Department said.
The suspect is described as a black female in her mid-30s. She is about 5'6" in height with a thin build and short hair. She was last seen wearing a purple running suit and police believe she is traveling on foot.
