Two women recently busted for a string a burglaries in the Austin-area are now facing more charges.
Police say 18-year-old Cristal Gomez and 19-year-old Kayla Wright are part of an all-girl burglary crew that are responsible for at least 20 break-ins.
Wright and Gomez are now being charged with two counts of burglary of a habitation, a second degree felony after police say they burglarized two homes.
Police say on Aug. 6, a couple reported returning to their home on Teasdale Ter and found a broken window and missing items including a TV, electronics and jewelry.
On Aug. 9, another burglary was reported at a residence located in the 7600 block of Creston Lane. The victim reported returning home to find the front door ajar and a broken back window as well as missing items including a Cannon camera, an Apple iMac, small kitchen appliances and jewelry.
On Oct. 24, Austin Police arrested 18-year-old Cristal Gomez and 19-year-old Kayla Wright for a separate burglary.
Police say both suspects confessed to multiple burglaries and provided information about where some of the stolen property could be located. Police executed several search warrants and recovered numerous stolen items. Police also tracked stolen jewelry to a pawn shop.
