College football coaches to help fight child abuse

Posted: Updated:

Texas Attorney General Gregg Abbott is teaming up with the head coaches of UT, A&M, and Houston to help fight child abuse.

The new campaign is called One with Courage. Mack Brown of Texas, Kevin Sumlin of A&M, and Tony Levine of Houston were recruited to take part in the multimedia awareness program.

"If we are going to address this problem it is necessary that the pitch of these coaches is taken up, and that adults get off the couch get into the game into helping the children in this state so that we can help the children get beyond the abuse they have suffered," Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott said.

The campaign has been designed for radio, television, and the internet.
