On Friday a Capital Metro bus parked behind Whole Foods at 5th Street and Lamar Boulevard will be collecting food for the Capital Area Food Bank.
People will be able to donate non-perishable items between Friday morning and Sunday evening. The goal is to raise 20,000 pounds of food. That would provide 16,000 meals.
The bus will be parked on Bowie between 5th and 6th.
