A construction worker died in New York City after a refrigeration unit being off-loaded from a truck fell.

It happened late Tuesday morning in the Concourse section of the Bronx.

FDNY officials say Tristan Mananghaya, 38, of Jersey City, N.J., was pinned by the unit near Bronx Lebanon Hospital at E. 173rd St.

Workers were using a construction crane to lift the large refrigeration unit when a chain attached to the unit snapped, dropping the unit.
