An 11-year-old girl was killed after crashing her go kart on
her family's property in the Round Top area on Sunday, according to the Fayette
County Sheriff's Office.
After noticing that their daughter had not returned home at
the time she was supposed to, the girl's parents searched the property, and
eventually found the go kart wrecked and their daughter with severe injuries. They
immediately called 911 and emergency services were sent to the scene.
The girl was transported to St. Marks Medical Center, where
she was later pronounced dead.
The victim's name has not been announced by authorities.
