Special needs children meet with Santa

Posted: Updated:

Christmas is less than four weeks away, and that means Santa is very busy!

He made an appearance at Lakeline Mall Sunday, especially for special needs children. The "Caring Santa" event works to reduce sensory triggers and makes the environment more comfortable for the kids to enjoy their visit with Santa.

"Oh they're very cute, they're very great. Love these kids, love every one of them," Santa said at the event. "They're so special. They really are very, very special."

Santa said video games seem to be a pretty popular item kids are asking for this year.

He'll also be visiting Barton Creek Square mall for a "Signing Santa" event dedicated to families with deaf and hearing impaired children. That takes place Monday night from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
