Austin paramedic killed in crash

Posted: Updated:

Austin-Travis county e-m-s is mourning the loss of a 15-year veteran paramedic.

Captain Randy Trinkle was killed in a car crash today, while driving home after the end of his shift.

He most recently served as a training officer, and a member of the special operations team, and Texas task force one.

He lived in Fredericksburg, and also worked occasionally for Fredericksburg e-m-s.

The e-m-s chief spent time with Trinkle's family today, and says the Austin-Travis e-m-s honor guard will be posted at his side beginning tomorrow morning.

Funeral services have not yet been set.

If you'd like to donate to Trinkle's family, you can do so at www-dot-Austin-paramedic-fund-dot-org.
