Video shows Md. man celebrating Powerball win - is it legit?

FOUNTAIN HILLS, Ariz. -

It's surveillance video that's being looked at around the country. Some people believe this man has the winning Powerball ticket sold in Arizona. Is it true?

This man is thousands of miles away, on the east coast.

Gas station customers in Maryland say that man was showing off his winning ticket, and said he told them he bought the ticket in Arizona.

But where is the man now? And where is the winning ticket? Those are questions we can't answer yet.

The video shows that Maryland man freaking out after seeing the winning numbers on his Powerball ticket.

"He couldn't believe it, everybody looked to check and see if he wasn't seeing things. He wasn't seeing things. It was the right number," said a gas station customer.

It's a reaction you'd expect, after possibly winning close to $300 million -- half the Powerball jackpot.

Gas station surveillance cameras captured the moment when the man wearing what appeared to be a construction uniform realized he won.

"I heard him say he won, he gave me the ticket and he gave it to me and said 'did I really win?' And it was the Arizona ticket with the winning numbers on it," said another customer.

But is it really the winning ticket that was sold at this gas station in Fountain Hills? It's the question everyone is asking.

"They keep wanting to know what time was it sold, what time was it sold? What's going on? Who won? Who won? No one has come forward yet."

Debora O'Connell of Fountain Hills has been following the madness.

"I bought tickets the night before the event, the event... yeah, nothing like it."

She's back at Four Sons again, buying more lotto tickets. The gas station off Fountain Hills Blvd and Palisades has been busy.

Employees say hundreds of customers have bought lottery tickets in anticipation of the next big win. O'Connell says the gas station is lucky.

The Arizona Lottery says the money has to be claimed in the state in was purchased. So far no one has claimed the money yet.

If the winner is the mystery man in Maryland, he'll have to fly here to claim it. But at least he'll be able to afford the flight.
