A SWAT situation in south Austin has come to an end without incident. The suspect was taken into custody by authorities.
A man is facing additional charges after being involved in a SWAT situation Monday morning.
Authorities charged 40-year-old John Pace McBryde with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after he fired a gun at a woman and then barricaded himself inside a home.
SWAT released gas inside the residence located on Hindon Lane and McBryde was taken into custody.
McBryde is now being charged with possession of a controlled substance after authorities searched the residence and found methamphetamine in the living room, bedroom and kitchen.
