Holiday toys make the naughty list

Posted: Updated:

Before you hit stores, are the toys on your list safe? There's a new list out and not every toy is in the 'nice' column.

A Dora the Explorer guitar, dragster cars and desktop magnets made the naughty
list.

Experts say the guitar is too loud and could damage hearing, the cars have tires that could become a choking hazard and the magnets could lead to serious health problems if swallowed by children.

There is some good news; the group found fewer toys contaminated with toxins like lead, cadmium and phthalates

One of the things to look at is the size of toys.

To test if little kids could swallow a toy, take a toilet paper roll and try to put the toy inside the empty roll.

If it fits, it is too small for a child under three.
