Austin police are investigating a North Austin crash that left a man dead.
They were called to the 8600 block of North Lamar around 11:30 p.m. Saturday night. Police say a man drove his car into a tree at a high rate of speed. He died at the scene.
Police are still investigating whether drugs or alcohol were factors, but they say no other cars or pedestrians were involved.
