Austin police also busted an all-girl burglary crew responsible for at least 20 break-in's in north and south Austin.
Police say the three women knocked on doors first to make sure no one was home and go in. The group would hit between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. They took electronics, jewelry, and purses.
Police say they hit several homes in the Rutland and Rundberg area and near William Cannon between July and September.
Cristal Gomez, Tashieka Jackson, and Kayla wright are charged with burglary, a second degree felony.
Police say one of the reasons these three were caught is because owners recorded the serial numbers of their property.
"They're gambling on the fact that people don't record their serial numbers so we try to educate people as much as we can about recording serial numbers. If you don't record your serial numbers, they can pawn your stuff as much as they want without getting caught," said Sgt. Robert Hester of APD's Burglary Unit.
If you think you may have been a victim of a home burglary in these areas, call Austin Police.
If convicted, the suspects could face up to 20 years in prison.
