APD continues to investigate homicide in Northwest Austin

Austin Police now have more information on the murder at a Northwest Austin apartment complex.

They say the victim, 22-year-old Mohamad Omar, was involved in an altercation inside the home off of Riata Trace Parkway.

Police say someone shot him to death.

Investigators found the body after someone called in asking police to check on him.

Several residents and witnesses have been interviewed.

No charges have been filed.
