The U.T. Women's Athletic Program has been trouble free until Texas placed veteran track and field Coach Bev Kearney on paid administrative leave Monday.
UT Head Women's Track Coach Bev Kearney, who's won six national championships with the Horns may or may not be in trouble. Texas placed her on paid leave Monday, pending a review of unspecified issues in the program.
Kearney was paralyzed from the waist down after an auto accident back in 2002 and was told by doctors she'd never walk again. She proved them wrong.
Kearney's been coaching at UT since 1993. Over the years has received dozens of personal and national honors. She was also inducted into the Hall of Fame of the US Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association back in 2007.
There is no word yet on how long the review will last.
