Tolleson Police have arrested three people who they say broke into a business yard and stole batteries belonging to commercial equipment.
Thursday afternoon, Tolleson Police responded to an alarm call at a business near Van Buren and 75th Ave. When they arrived they saw a parked vehicle that was loaded with large batteries.
Officers said they located the suspects inside the yard trying to remove batteries from equipment.
Derek Odle, 19, Zachary Adams, 23, and a 17-year-old juvenile from Buckeye were taken into custody for burglary.
Detectives learned the batteries in the vehicle were stolen from a business yard in Phoenix before the suspects were caught in Tolleson. Police say they are also responsible for a burglary in Peoria.
Police believe these three are connected to other burglaries where batteries were taken. Anyone with information is asked to call police.
