The city of Phoenix is celebrating a major annual event -- helping children across the valley to find a loving home.
National Adoption Day is November 17, and many are celebrating the 12 years the event has been here in the valley.
A giant paper chain has been in the making since 2000. For each foster child that's adopted on National Adoption Day, a paper link has been added.
Excitement has been growing in many people across the valley, knowing that hundreds of children in need of families will be adopted.
"Oh there are people who signed up a year in advance, like, make sure you have me down for this year," says Aimee Anderson, Superior Court Judge.
"I got to tell you it is single handedly the best day of the year in any court in any country."
National Adoption Day expects around 400 children to be adopted on the Saturday before Thanksgiving.
