Austin Police arrest suspected serial groper

Austin Police have arrested a man they say is a suspect in several groping incidents around Austin.

On Wednesday officers arrested 21-year-old Siji Moreno on a charge of assault with injury. Investigators said the incident occurred at the Target in the 10000 block of Research Boulevard on November 1.

Moreno is also a person of interest in two other similar cases. In both cases police say the suspect committed assault by contact of a sexual nature. One incident took place at an HEB in the 2500 block of Riverside Drive on October 20.

The other incident took place at a Target in the 11000 block of FM 2222 on October 20. Police said the suspect entered the store, lifted the victim's skirt, and touched her inappropriately. He then fled the store.

He is also a suspect in an incident that took place on September 11 at the Iron Cactus downtown.

Additionally Moreno is also a person of interest in a similar case that occurred in the 1000 block of Guadalupe Street and two cases in Bee Caves.

Moreno was on probation for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and manslaughter. His probation was revoked when he was charged.
