Elderly man dies after being hit by car

An 87-year-old man was hit and killed by a car near 19th Avenue and Cactus Road on Monday night.

Officers said Edward Frances Legge was crossing the street when he was struck by a car. He was taken to a hospital where he died from his injuries.

The driver of the car wasn't impaired, police said. He was not injured.
