A woman rushing to catch a bus was seriously hurt after being hit by a car Monday. Police say she ran across Bethany Home Road Monday morning against a red light at 17th Avenue.
Officers say one car stopped in front of her, but another driver didn't see her and hit her.
Paramedics took the woman -- who's about 65-years-old -- to the hospital.
Police have had a tough time identifying her because of a language barrier.
"She may be of the Sudanese community out here in this part of town. We're having a hard time communicating with anybody on her cell phone. We have made contact with some people and we're attempting to get some responsible parties down to the hospital where she's at right now," says Lt. Stan Hoover, Phoenix Police Dept.
