Emancipet is expanding to meet the growing demand for wellness services.
The converted office space at the east Austin clinic will allow Emancipet to increase its capacity by 30 percent.
The non-profit is on track to set a new record providing services to 27,000 animals this year. Thirty-vet techs and nine full time veterinarians average 450 spay neuters and 450 wellness visits each week between the clinic and mobile clinics.
The non-profit's mission is to increase awareness, education and access to spay neuter services.
"It's become clear that the need for wellness service heartworm flea control and vaccinations has increased. As the population of Austin increases, the low income population we see the need for these services increasing," said Emancipet Chief Advancement Officer Adrienne Longenecker.
The affordable options help control the unwanted pet population and make sure each animal has a loving home. For more information visit emancipet.org.
