Man wanted in 2007 Ariz. homicide arrested in Fla.
PRESCOTT, Ariz. (AP) - Northern Arizona authorities say a man wanted in connection with the 2007 death of a Bullhead City woman has been arrested in Florida.
Yavapai County Sheriff's officials say 32-year-old Jack Rider is being held on suspicion of homicide at the Escambia County Jail in Pensacola, Fla., pending extradition to Arizona.
Sheriff's officials say information was developed in recent months linking Rider to the death of 22-year-old Krystil Wilson.
Deputies responded to an apparent drowning in Camp Verde on July 19, 2007.
They say Rider claimed he had just rescued Wilson from the water after noticing her body floating face down. But investigators say Rider allegedly strangled Wilson while swimming with her in the Verde River.
Arizona and federal authorities tracked Rider to Florida and he was arrested Oct. 30.
