Stephen Paul DionneSAN MANUEL, Ariz. (AP) - Pinal County authorities say a suspect has been arrested in a fatal shooting in San Manuel last weekend.
Sheriff's officials say 29-year-old Stephen Paul Dionne was taken into custody Thursday in Tucson.
He was booked into the Pima County Jail on an outstanding warrant for a probation violation. But Pinal County authorities say they submitted paperwork Friday requesting that Dionne be charged with suspicion of first-degree murder.
Sheriff's deputies say 30-year-old Nicholas Angelo Lagunas of Winkleman was found unconscious and bleeding from a gunshot wound outside a San Manuel home on Oct. 27. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators say Lagunas had a verbal altercation at Dionne's house before being shot in the chest. He ran down a street looking for help and died outside a home.
