Officers arrested a 49-year-old man who allegedly terrorized his ex-girlfriend with notes, voicemails, text messages and personal encounters for over a year.
Alan Valentine Wilde allegedly stalked his ex-girlfriend relentlessly, and some of the time, in violation of a court-issued order of protection.
Police said Wilde fled from them twice before being caught, and each time increased the harassment toward his ex-girlfriend.
For example, Wilde left 61 voicemail messages on his ex-girlfriend's phone within seven days.
Officers said the woman contemplated moving to another part of the country to get away from him.
Chandler detectives found Wilde in Mesa on Wednesday and booked him into jail on ten counts of aggravated domestic violence and one count of stalking.
