Linda Sue WicksGILBERT, Ariz. (AP) - Authorities say an Arizona woman with dementia who had been missing for nearly two days has been found safe in New Mexico.
Gilbert police said Thursday that 73-year-old Linda Sue Wicks has been released from a hospital after a checkup and her family is headed to New Mexico to pick her up.
Police say Wicks was last seen about 5 p.m. Tuesday driving a car in Gilbert after grocery shopping with relatives.
Wicks' daughter says her mother was found sitting in the back seat of her car parked in drive on a highway in Deming, N.M. It's still unclear if the car had run out of gas.
