The Austin Police Department is asking for help from the community to locate two suspects they say stole credit cards from an elderly woman while she ate in a restaurant.
Investigators say the woman believes her wallet was taken from her while she was eating at an Arboretum restaurant on October 1. She told investigators that one of the thieves must have taken it while she was distracted by the other suspect who was pretending to look for a contact lens.
The suspects immediately went to the Target in the 8600 block of Research Boulevard and purchased thousands of dollars of merchandise with the stolen cards.
The suspects are three black males approximately 40-years-old and one heavy-set female approximately 40-years-old who may have been wearing a wig.
