Austin Police are searching for a suspect they say assaulted a woman in a park in east Austin.
According to police, on
Oct. 26, the victim was walking in the park north of Bethune and Providence when
the suspect grabbed her. He pulled her into a secluded area and assaulted her
as she fought and screamed for help.
Several people saw the suspect flee the area on foot.
He is described as a Hispanic, in his mid-20s, approximately 5'9" in height with a thin build and brown curly to wavy hair. He has a series of small vertical scars of varying lengths on his upper right cheek and had light stubble on his chin and along his jawline. He was last seen wearing a light blue to green-checkered pattern shirt and dark pants.
