
Alberto SolisEl Mirage Police have arrested a 44-year-old man who allegedly robbed a man and tried to flee police custody.
Monday afternoon, an officer was flagged down by a victim who had been robbed.
He reported that Alberto Solis stole from him and threatened to "cap" him when he asked for his money back.
The victim says Solis referenced a gun in his vehicle, which made him fear for his life.
Officers stopped Solis' vehicle nearby and he was taken into custody. He complained of illness so officers transported him to a hospital to be checked out.
While in the hospital, he fled and assaulted an officer who was trying to take him into custody, police say.
After a brief struggle Solis was put in handcuffs.
He is facing charges of armed robbery, resisting arrest, aggravated assault, and escape.
