Man turns self in for frying pan attack

A man wanted for assaulting a female victim with a frying pan has turned himself in.

Dylan Escalanti surrendered to the Yuma County Sheriff's Office on Wednesday night. He was booked into the Yuma County Jail on charges of attempted homicide, unlawful imprisonment, and aggravated assault-domestic violence.

Deputies say that Escalanti beat a woman with a frying pan on Tuesday. The victim sustained multiple fractures to her skull, neck and hand as a result.

A motive for the attack is unknown.
